I’ve mentioned the name of Samuel H. Johnson on this blog previously, noting how impressed I am with a person (now in his mid-80s) who is as productive as ever. Book writing is the most recent of Sam’s many endeavors. His recent children’s book on HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) serves an important social function–introducing young people to the array of 19th-century leaders who assisted in founding what is now a network of 100+ schools across the country. Here’s Samuel H. Johnson.
