For higher education, the new reality seems to be an extension of the old reality. COVID-19 is the precipitating event for an industry that has been suffering serious predisposing conditions, not unlike a COVID-19 patient who has pre-existing health issues. Some schools, which were teetering before, are now in crisis mode–and they are not just small colleges.
