Many previous national headlines (including recent ones) have put the university in a disfavorable light. Still, the strife-torn school has not seen the likes of a trifecta of missteps as what occurred this past weekend–the least of which was a 49-0 home football trouncing by the rival Michigan Wolverines. Before the game, Adolph Hitler’s photo was flashed on the stadium scoreboard. Not long after the final whistle, a fellow university board member went public with accusations of outrageous conduct by MSU’s board chair.
