From INSIDE HIGHER EDUCATION: “Nathan Cofnas says he will “probably be fired” as Ghent University begins disciplinary proceedings. Last month, Cofnas, a self-described “race realist,” accused Arday of plagiarizing parts of his Ph.D. thesis at Liverpool John Moores University. Arday resigned from Cambridge on Aug. 5. He denied the plagiarism allegations but acknowledged errors in his work. Liverpool John Moores investigated and concluded that his Ph.D. should stand. Last week, the former sociology professor was found dead in London. The cause of his death is unknown. Police have said it is being treated as unexpected but is not believed to be suspicious.” Read more here.
