The assertion is one of the pillars of the Conservative incursion into higher education, not merely rhetorically, but also in altering institutional and curricular policies and programs.
But an assertion is an expression of a belief. So, is there a basis for believing that the assertion to be generally valid?
“According to a report that Gallup and the Lumina Foundation published Tuesday, just 2% of all college students—including 3% of Republicans—say they feel they don’t belong on campus due to their political views.
