NEWS BRIEFS: Fewer Low-Income Students are Enrolling at Michigan Colleges

FROM MICHIGAN BRIDGE: “According to state data, the share of low-income high school grads who enrolled in college within six months of graduating dropped from 48 percent in pre-pandemic 2019, to 39 percent in 2020. Among their wealthier classmates, the share enrolling in college dropped less steeply: from 71 to 65 percent.” Read more here.
