From SPOGTLIGHT PA courtesy of Higher Ed Dive: “The university sold the Penn State-Shenango campus in Mercer County and the Penn State-Wilkes-Barre campus in Luzerne County. The decision marks the university’s first real estate sale of its seven commonwealth campuses, all slated for closure in 2027. The other campuses are located in DuBois, Fayette, Mont Alto, New Kensington, and York. In May 2025, the board voted to close the campuses because of budget constraints and declining enrollment.” Read more here.
